The Children’s Hospital was built in 1941 and was designed by the architect Mahmoud Riyad with funding from the Egyptian Child Care Society.
The building consists of three basement floors and two floors each with an area of 3500 square meters.
With children and outpatient clinics, intensive care for children, surgery, 3 operating rooms and internal departments for general cases after booking from reception. After the start of work in the new hospital in November 2017 , the old hospital is used for ER, outpatient clinics and in-patients for general pediatrics and the new building for the specialized units such as heart and chest, nerves, blood, tumors, digestive system, liver, immunity, diabetes and endocrine.
